In our final segment of our 3-part video series featuring the Hornet W85 DEF transfer pump, learn 11 helpful troubleshooting tips! If you're facing challenges where there is no pump suction, the pump is not powering on, or if the automatic nozzle is not engaging, we have some helpful pointers for you. See below for a timemap of the video:
00:00:42 - #1: No pump suction - loosen the hose barb clamp on bottom side of the pump. Remove suction hose, turn on pump, and place hand to feel for suction.
00:01:05 - #2: If no pump suction, check for damage to downtube.
00:01:27 - #3: If no pump suction, check that the dispense coupler is fully engaged.
00:01:45 - #4: Tighten clamps on both the dispense and suction hoses.
00:02:00 - #5: Confirm you do not have your dispense and suction hoses reversed.
00:02:20 - #6: If pump does not power on, touch metal housing and if hot, unplug from the wall.
00:02:31 - #7: Allow pump to cool to outside temperature.
00:02:37 - #8: Flip pump switch to OFF.
00:02:45 - #9: Reset pump by flipping pump switch twice (2 times ON, 2 times OFF).
00:02:54 - #10: Plug pump back in and it should start.
00:03:01 - #11: If auto nozzle is not engaging, check fro DEF crystallization. Soak in hot water for 15 minutes.
